(1.8) Earth, Moon, Stars
Overview
Students build on their understanding of natural cycles to learn about weather information and develop insight into the characteristics of the seasons and of the day and night. They also learn about objects in the sky including the Sun and other stars, the Moon, and clouds.

(1.8A) Weather
The student is expected to record weather information, including relative temperature, such as hot or cold, clear or cloudy, calm or windy, and rainy or icy.

(1.8B) Objects in the Sky
The student is expected to observe and record changes in the appearance of objects in the sky such as clouds, the Moon, and stars, including the Sun.

(1.8C) Characteristics of Seasons & Day/Night
The student is expected to identify characteristics of the seasons of the year and day and night.

(1.8D) Wind is Moving Air
The student is expected to demonstrate that air is all around us and observe that wind is moving air.
