Overview
How are magnets used? Where does fresh water come from? How do materials change when they are heated or cooled? These are examples of physical science questions appropriate for second grade. Learn more in the sections below.

Is it hotter or cooler? Heavier or lighter? Why does chocolate melt? Students learn to observe and compare physical properties, such as shape, relative mass, relative temperature and texture.
