Overview
Students learn about the Earth’s surface and resources by examining soil, looking at natural sources of water, and building an understanding of how natural resources can be used.

The student is expected to observe, compare, describe, and sort components of soil by size, texture, and color.

The student is expected to identify and describe a variety of natural sources of water, including streams, lakes, and oceans.
